Vitamin E oil belongs to a group of fat-soluble compounds valued in natural skin care traditions. Wheat germ oil is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin E, alongside sunflower seeds and almonds, and it forms the basis of this oil.
Properties
The oil has a clear orange to yellow colour and a mild wheaty aroma reflecting its wheat germ origin. It is a natural antioxidant, which is why it is widely added to lotions, creams and gels as well as used directly on the skin. Many people apply it as part of a regular moisturising routine, or blend it into other base oils to help preserve the freshness of a mixture.
