To use it, you'll need
You hold this rough geode in both hands, weighing up where to strike it, knowing that inside is a hollow cavity lined with crystals that no one, not even you, has seen yet. Cracking it open is part of the experience.
Spiritual meaning
A geode is a rock with a hollow centre lined with crystal growth, and calcite within it is traditionally associated with clarity of mind and calm, steady energy. Many people find the act of opening one and being the first to see what is inside a small ritual in itself, tied to discovery and renewal.
How to use
- Wrap the geode in a cloth or towel before cracking it open to contain fragments
- Use a hammer and light, controlled taps rather than one heavy blow
- Wear eye protection and work on a hard, stable surface
- Once opened, display the crystal-lined halves on a shelf or in a collection

Ask about this piece
Size, materials, how it's traditionally used, whether two pieces work well together: ask, and a real person will answer. Natural stone and handmade pieces vary a little, so the photo shows one example rather than the exact piece you'll receive. Write to us.
