Symbolism
The Five Buddhas, also known as the Five Dhyani Buddhas, each represent a different enlightened quality in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, from wisdom to compassion, and are often studied together as a complete set. Engraving all five around the bowl turns it into a visual guide to that fuller teaching, alongside its use as a sound instrument.

- Circle a wooden striker steadily around the rim to build a deep, sustained tone.
- Strike the rim once instead for a single note, and let it ring out fully before repeating.
