To use it, you'll need

Woven rattan in a dark brown finish wraps around a metal frame in this table lamp, topped with a coconut leaf and cotton diffuser that softens the light. It comes supplied with a bulb and a mains plug, ready to use once unpacked.

Symbolism

Rattan's open, hand-woven structure has long served South East Asian furniture and lighting alike, casting light in soft, broken patterns rather than a single beam. A dark brown finish gives this piece a warmer, richer tone than its natural or black counterparts.

How to use

  • Plug in and switch on; bulb and mains plug included
  • The plug supplied may be the European two-pin or the UK three-pin type, so keep a simple travel adapter to hand
  • Position away from curtains and other flammable materials
  • Dust gently with a soft, dry brush

Details

  • Material: rattan, coconut leaf, cotton, metal frame
  • Fitting: bulb included; plug supplied as European two-pin or UK three-pin
  • Weight: approx. 1.121kg

Ask about this piece

Size, materials, how it's traditionally used, whether two pieces work well together: ask, and a real person will answer. Natural stone and handmade pieces vary a little, so the photo shows one example rather than the exact piece you'll receive. Write to us.
