As the holiday season approaches and warmer spices come out again, nutmeg is one of the richer oils people add to a diffuser blend. Steam-distilled from the seed of Myristica fragrans in Indonesia, it has a warm, sweet, slightly woody smell close to the ground spice.

Nutmeg travelled the historic spice routes from the Indonesian islands and was once one of the most fought-over commodities in the world. In aromatherapy tradition it is associated with motivation and focus during demanding times, and it blends beautifully with other spice, floral or wood oils.
How to use
- Use sparingly in a diffuser, a drop or two at a time
- Dilute well in a carrier oil before any skin contact, and patch test first
- Not for internal use
