To use it, you'll need
When you want a warmer, softer look than dark stone, sandstone offers a paler alternative. This number 9 candle holder is carved from sandstone as a solid freestanding piece, with a shallow well on top sized for a taper or slim pillar candle.
Symbolism
Carved numerals are traditionally used to mark birthdays and important dates, and sandstone is often valued in stone lore for its warm, earthy quality, a gentle base for a candle lit to honour a particular year.
How to use
- Place the holder on a heat resistant surface before lighting
- Insert a taper or thin pillar candle into the top well
- Keep the flame clear of draughts and never leave it unattended
- Once cooled, wipe the stone clean with a dry cloth
