To use it, you'll need
A bodhi tree design is printed across this round jute place mat, finished with a cotton trim. It measures approximately 30 cm across and is made in India from jute and cotton.
Spiritual meaning
The bodhi tree is traditionally identified as the tree under which the Buddha is said to have reached enlightenment, and it remains a central symbol in Buddhist tradition. Printing its silhouette onto a place mat brings a quiet, reflective image into an everyday object used at mealtimes.
How to use
- Set at each place at the table, or use singly under a bowl, plate or centrepiece.
- Pair with the matching coasters in a similar tone for a coordinated table setting.
- Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and let the mat dry fully, since jute is a natural fibre.
