- Place the stick in a heatproof holder that catches ash
- Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then blow out so it smoulders
- Set on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and fabrics
- Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep away from children and pets
- Air the room while it burns
