This hanging mobile is made from beaten aluminium, hand-painted with a row of angel figures in soft pastel tones, finished with beads and cotton tassels along the base. Beaten and painted aluminium has been used in Bali for generations to make ceremonial offering boxes for temples, and the same technique now shapes decorative mobiles like this one. It is handmade by a mother-and-daughter workshop, so each piece carries small individual differences.
How to use
- Hang in a window, porch or covered outdoor space to catch the light and movement of air
- Suspend indoors above a shelf or in a doorway as a decorative accent
- Wipe gently with a dry cloth; keep dry and out of direct weather
