Spiritual meaning
Pu erh tea originates from Yunnan province in south west China, a mountainous region long associated with tea cultivation. Traditionally the leaves are aged, which is said to deepen and sweeten the flavour the longer the tea is brewed, and many tea drinkers treat that gradual transformation as part of the appeal of this style.
How to use
- Use 2 to 3 grams per 200 ml of water
- Heat water to 90 to 95°C
- Let stand for 4 to 5 minutes
- Strain before serving
