To use it, you'll need
When your meditation space calls for something simple, this medium brass singing bowl offers a clean, versatile tone at a compact 12cm size. It is easy to hold in one hand or set on a small table, making it a practical choice for daily use.
Spiritual meaning
In Tibetan Buddhist practice, singing bowls are used as a support for meditation, trance induction and prayer. Rather than hanging or being attached to a handle, the bowl sits with its base resting on a surface, and the sides and rim vibrate to produce sound.
How to use
- Place the bowl on a flat, steady surface such as a table or cushion
- Circle a wooden striker slowly around the outer rim to build a sustained tone
- Tap the side once for a single clear note
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth and store away from damp
