Large Waving Money Cat, Battery-Operated
A larger version of the classic waving money cat, this figure stands with its left paw moving steadily back and forth, powered by AA or AAA batteries. At approximately 14 x 20.5 cm, its scale gives it a stronger presence on a shelf, console table or shop counter.
Symbolism
This style of figure, known as maneki-neko or the beckoning cat, is traditionally associated in East Asian decor with inviting money, opportunity and good relationships. The larger size is often chosen to make more of a statement while keeping the same traditional symbolism as the smaller versions in the range.
How to use
- Fit one or two AA or AAA batteries (not included) to start the waving motion.
- The battery compartment has no cover and no on/off switch, so the paw waves continuously once batteries are fitted.
- Place on a stable, flat surface with enough space around it for the moving paw.

Ask about this piece
Measurements, materials, how a thing is meant to be used, whether two pieces go together: ask and a person answers. Natural stone and hand-made work vary from piece to piece, so the photograph shows one example rather than the exact item. Write to us.
