To use it, you'll need
This large soapstone oil burner is carved in the shape of an elephant, offered in a mix of five colours. At 13 x 10cm, it makes a substantial centrepiece for a mantelpiece, shelf, or side table.
Symbolism
The elephant is traditionally associated with strength, wisdom, and good fortune across many cultures, making this a favoured shape for burners meant to sit prominently in the home. Soapstone itself has long been chosen for oil burners for its ability to hold heat evenly.
How to use
- Fill the upper bowl with water before lighting the tealight below
- Add a few drops of essential oil, fragrance oil, or a small amount of wax melt or simmering granules to the water
- Always place the burner on a heatproof mat or surface
- Never leave a lit burner unattended, and keep away from children and pets
- Top up the water as needed and allow the burner to cool fully before emptying
