Himalayan Salt Cooking Plate, Round - 20 cm
Cut into a round shape and hand-carved from a single block of Himalayan salt, this cooking plate measures approximately 20 cm across and 5 cm thick. It can be heated on a grill or stove to cook food directly on its surface, and its trace minerals, including potassium, magnesium and calcium, are what give the stone its natural pink-to-orange banding. This salt is traditionally quarried in Pakistan, where the plate is carved by hand.
How to use
- Heat gradually from low heat to avoid cracking the plate
- Lightly oil the surface before cooking to prevent sticking
- Chill it in the fridge to serve cold dishes on its surface
- Let it cool fully after use, scrape off residue and rinse with water; avoid soap
