This Hati-Hati Angel - Joy is a larger piece than the 15 cm version in the same range, hand-carved from Suar wood by artisans in rural Indonesian villages, then sun-dried, polished and painted individually, so small natural variations are part of every figure.

The word 'hati-hati' is Indonesian for 'take care', and these angels are traditionally given as a caring, cultural gift. This piece carries the theme of joy, its cradled heart standing for lightness and shared happiness.
