Compact Waving Money Cat, Battery-Operated
This compact money cat figure stands with its left paw waving steadily back and forth, powered by AA or AAA batteries. At approximately 8 x 8 x 12 cm, it is sized for a desk, shelf or small display space.
Symbolism
Known in East Asian decor tradition as maneki-neko, or the beckoning cat, this figure is traditionally believed to invite money, opportunity and good relationships into a home or workplace. The continuously waving paw is read as an ongoing gesture of welcome rather than a farewell.
How to use
- Fit one or two AA or AAA batteries (not included) to start the waving motion.
- The battery compartment has no cover and no on/off switch, so the paw waves continuously once batteries are fitted.
- Place on a stable, flat surface such as a shelf or desk.

Ask about this piece
Measurements, materials, how a thing is meant to be used, whether two pieces go together: ask and a person answers. Natural stone and hand-made work vary from piece to piece, so the photograph shows one example rather than the exact item. Write to us.
