On a cold afternoon, the smell that comes to mind for many people is cinnamon, and this leaf oil brings that same warm, spicy note to a diffuser. It is steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of Cinnamomum zeylanicum, true Ceylon cinnamon, grown in Sri Lanka.
Energetic properties

In aromatherapy tradition the leaf oil, gentler than the oil pressed from bark, is associated with warmth and abundance, and many people diffuse it during the darker months alongside clove or orange.

- Dilute well in a carrier oil before any skin contact, and patch test first
