Symbolism
Water hyacinth is dried and worked into mats and baskets across Southeast Asia, a practical way of using a fast-growing water plant. The tiger-stripe weave is a motif many cultures link to strength and alertness, kept here in the fibre's natural, undyed colour rather than dark contrast for a softer, quieter look.
