Sun Nomadic Incense Sticks – Pack of 6
Light one at the start of the day, while the light is still low and nothing has been asked of you yet. Sun is a resin-led blend, hand-rolled in India onto a bamboo core, warm and faintly smoky, and it carries a long way through a room.
Spiritual meaning
Resins have been burned at first light for as long as there have been altars: frankincense in the temples of Egypt and Arabia, copal in Mesoamerica, each of them offered to the returning sun. The blend is named for that moment. In many traditions the sun stands for vitality, clarity and the will to begin, and incense lit at dawn is used to mark the turn from night to day rather than to change anything by itself.
How to use
- Light the tip, let the flame catch, then blow it out so an ember is left.
- Stand the stick in a holder that catches the ash and can take the heat.
- Open a window: the smoke is dense, and a little air keeps it pleasant.
- Never leave a burning stick unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
