This Buddha head statue stands on its own Jempinis wood support and is cast in concrete with a blue copper finish that gives the surface a softly oxidised look. Larger than the Tranquility head in the same collection, it works well as a standalone piece on a console table, shelf or garden ledge.

The closed eyes and calm expression are traditionally read in Buddhist iconography as an image of stillness and meditation, which gives this piece its name. Many people display it simply as a visual cue to pause, without attaching any religious practice to the object itself.
