Before you switch off the lights, lay out your crystals along this longer selenite bar and leave them until morning. The chakra symbols carved into the surface mark out seven small areas, useful if you like to keep each stone in its own spot.

Spiritual meaning and symbolism

Selenite is named after Selene, the moon goddess of Greek mythology, and in crystal lore it is often described as self-cleansing, said to clear other crystals without needing to be cleansed itself. The chakra symbols reference the seven energy centres of the body found in yogic and Ayurvedic tradition, each one linked to a colour and area of life, from grounding at the base to clarity at the crown.

How to use

  • Place crystals or jewellery along the plate, one per chakra symbol if desired
  • Leave overnight or for a few hours to rest
  • Display on a shelf, altar or bedside table
  • Keep away from water, as selenite is soft and water sensitive
  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade the surface

Ask about this piece

Measurements, materials, how a thing is meant to be used, whether two pieces go together: ask and a person answers. Natural stone and hand-made work vary from piece to piece, so the photograph shows one example rather than the exact item. Write to us.
