Rustic Bark Wooden Letter A – 7 cm
A decorative letter A cut from albasia wood, about 7 cm tall and 1 cm thick, with the natural bark left along one edge. Grain, colour and bark line differ on every piece, so no two letters are quite alike.
Symbolism
An initial is the shortest way to name something. Letters have been carved, burned and embroidered onto doors, chests and linen for centuries to mark what belongs to a person or a household, and a single wooden letter is still used in the same way: an initial on a shelf, or several letters set together to spell out a name or a word above a desk or an altar.
Care
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
- Keep it away from damp rooms and direct heat, which can warp untreated wood.
- Handle it by the body of the letter: loose bark can flake along the edge.
- Do not wash it or soak it in water.
