Red Thyme Essential Oil - Set of 10 x 10ml

While hanging bunches of thyme to dry at the end of summer, the scent of Red Thyme oil is warm, sharp and intensely herbaceous, much stronger than the fresh herb. Steam-distilled from Thymus vulgaris grown in Spain, the deep reddish-brown colour of this unrectified oil gives it the name red thyme.

Energetic properties

Thyme has been grown across the Mediterranean since antiquity, and in ancient Greek and Roman folklore it was often linked to courage and strength. Its warm, sharp character calls for a light hand, so it is usually blended into a wider herbal or woody accord rather than used alone.

How to use

• Use in small amounts, blended with citrus, wood or other herb oils.
• Dilute thoroughly in a carrier oil before skin contact, as thyme oil can irritate; patch test first.
• Do not ingest, and keep well away from children and pets.
• Check with a doctor before use in pregnancy.
