Palo Santo Essential Oil 50ml
Clearing the air in a room before settling down to work or rest, palo santo is one of the more distinctive woods people reach for. Steam-distilled from the wood of Bursera graveolens in Peru, it has a warm, sweet, slightly resinous smell, milder than many other woods and resins.
Spiritual meaning
Palo santo, meaning "holy wood" in Spanish, comes from the same botanical family as frankincense and has a long history among Indigenous communities of South America, traditionally burned to clear a space of negative energy. In aromatherapy tradition it is associated with calm and quiet renewal.
How to use
- Add a few drops to a diffuser or oil burner
- Dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin, and patch test first
- Not for internal use
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
