Neem Carrier Oil - 100ml

Neem oil is pressed from the fruits and seeds of Azadirachta indica, a tree native to India and now also grown in northern Australia. The oils and extracts of the neem tree have a long history in Ayurvedic tradition, where they are revered and used in many preparations.

Properties

The oil can range from golden yellow to dark brown in colour, with a strong garlic and nutty aroma, and a very thick consistency that may solidify in colder temperatures. Because of its potency, neem oil is best used in small quantities, blended into other carrier oils. Its natural fatty acid content makes it a common ingredient in beauty products such as creams, body lotions and hair preparations, particularly for dry or sensitive skin and hair.

How to use

• Blend a small amount with other carrier oils before applying to skin or hair
• Add to homemade creams, lotions or hair treatments
• Patch test on a small area of skin before wider use
• For external use only, keep out of reach of children
• Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight
• May solidify in cold conditions; gently warm before use
