This triple candle holder sets three glass wells into a substantial natural Gamal wood base, made in Bali. Its taller, more block-like shape gives it a different character from the flat, elongated triple holder elsewhere in the range, better suited to a sideboard or hearth than the centre of a long table. Each well follows the exact contour of the wood beneath it.
Symbolism
Balinese makers see three flames on a single wood base as a step up from the single and double holders in the same range, each well still following its own patch of grain rather than a uniform mould. Many people place pieces like this on a mantel or sideboard specifically for that grouped, layered light. Because the wood base is unrepeatable, this holder's grain and shape belong only to this piece.
How to use
- Use with three tealight or votive candles, placed on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
- Never leave lit candles unattended, and keep the piece clear of curtains or other flammable materials.
- Wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth when not in use.
