Symbolism
The dorje, also known as a vajra, is a ritual object in Tibetan Buddhist tradition representing an indestructible state of mind, often described as being as sharp as a diamond and as irresistible as a thunderbolt. A double dorje design doubles that symbolism, and is traditionally linked to stability and protection.

- Circle a wooden striker around the rim at a steady pace to build a deep, sustained tone.
- Strike the rim once instead for a single resonant note, and let it fade before repeating.
