Konjac Sponge - Charcoal
The Konjac Sponge in Charcoal is a facial and body cleansing sponge made from the vegetable fibres of the konjac root, blended with charcoal for its dark grey colour. Like the rest of the range, it softens completely in water before use.
Symbolism
Konjac sponges originate in Japan, where they were traditionally used as a bath sponge for newborn babies because of their very soft texture, long before the same sponges became popular across Asia and Europe as a facial and body accessory. Charcoal versions are among the most widely used in the range, valued mainly for their colour and slightly firmer feel compared with plain konjac.
Care
- Soak the sponge in warm water until it softens completely.
- Squeeze gently, then use in small circles over the face or body.
- Rinse well after use and hang to dry in a ventilated spot.
- Replace every six to eight weeks, or sooner if the sponge starts to break down.
