Himalayan Salt Cooking Plate, Square - 20 cm
This square cooking plate is hand-carved from a single block of Himalayan salt, measuring 20 x 20 x 5 cm. Heated on a grill or stove, it can be used to cook meat, fish or vegetables directly on its surface, while natural trace minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium give the stone its characteristic pink-to-orange colour. This salt is traditionally quarried in Pakistan, where the plate is hand-carved.
How to use
- Heat gradually from low heat to avoid cracking
- Brush or oil the surface lightly before cooking to prevent sticking
- Chill it in the fridge to use as a cold serving platter
- Let it cool fully after use, scrape off residue and rinse with water; avoid soap
