Hemu Wood Soap Dish - Ladder
The Ladder Soap Dish is cut from Hemu wood with parallel slats set like the rungs of a ladder, raising a bar of soap above any water left in the dish. The gaps between the slats let air reach the underside of the soap so it dries out between uses.
Hemu wood is sourced from the fast-growing Guger tree in China and is a common choice for small household pieces thanks to its light colour and smooth finish. A simple wooden dish like this is a practical way to help handmade or natural soap bars last longer.
