Cinnamon & Orange Olive Oil Soap Loaf 1.25 kg

A full soap loaf of 1.25 kg, 27 cm long, scented with cinnamon and sweet orange. It is made on a vegetable oil base of saponified olive, coconut and palm oils with added glycerin, and it is meant to be cut into bars as they are needed, so the rest of the loaf keeps its scent until its turn comes.

Symbolism

Cinnamon and orange belong together in a long line of winter customs. Cinnamon is traditionally associated with warmth, prosperity and protection, and orange with brightness and abundance; both are burned, studded with cloves or hung about the house at the turn of the year, and the pairing followed them into soaps, oils and incense.

How to use

• Cut straight across the loaf with a sharp knife to make bars of the thickness preferred.
• Keep the uncut part wrapped in a cool, dry place, away from direct sun.
• Let the bar in use drain on a dish so that it does not sit in water.
• For external use only. Keep it away from the eyes and test on a small patch of skin first.
