Set over a lotus pond design, this glazed ceramic piece doubles as a backflow burner and a holder for regular incense sticks. It measures 16.5 x 8 x 6 cm.
Symbolism
In Buddhist and Hindu tradition, the lotus represents purity rising clean above still water. Smoke from a lit backflow cone flows down into the pond below.
How to use
- Place a backflow incense cone in the recess and light the tip.
- Set the burner on a heat-resistant, stable surface, away from curtains and paper.
- Let the flame die down on its own so the smoke can flow downward.
- Never leave burning incense unattended, keep it away from children and pets, and air the room.
