Antique-Style Buddha Hand Incense Burner 25 cm
An open hand cast in resin, 25 cm long, with an antiqued finish. The stick sits in the palm and the ash falls along the length of the hand. Heavy enough to stay where it is put: about 500 g.
Symbolism
In Buddhist art the hands say as much as the face. Each mudra, or ritual gesture, carries its own meaning, and the open palm is traditionally read as reassurance.
How to use
- For incense sticks. Stand the piece on a heat-resistant surface.
- Keep the ember clear of the resin, and never use charcoal discs on it.
- Never leave burning incense unattended, and air the room afterwards.
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
