Spiritual meaning
Ruda, the Spanish name for rue, is associated in Mediterranean and Latin American folklore with protection and warding off negative energy, and it is often paired with sage in Mexican smudging bundles for that reason. Burning the two together is traditionally used to mark a boundary between an old mood and a new one.
How to use
