The Sisal Exfoliating Back Scrub is a long, strap-style exfoliating accessory made from sisal fibre and cotton, designed to reach areas of the back that are otherwise hard to cover in the shower or bath. Being made from a natural plant fibre, it is fully biodegradable at the end of its life.
Symbolism
Natural plant fibres such as sisal have been used for exfoliation across many cultures for centuries, long before synthetic sponges became common. Dedicating a strap specifically to the back reflects an older idea that a proper wash covers the whole body evenly, not just the parts that are easiest to reach.
How to use
- Wet the strap and apply a small amount of body wash or soap.
- Hold an end in each hand and move it across the back in a gentle sawing motion.
- Rinse thoroughly after use.
- Hang to dry fully between uses.
