Moon phases have become a familiar shorthand for cycles and timing in a lot of modern spiritual practice, from journalling to ritual work. This Moon Phase Singing Bowl Set is engraved with lunar phase motifs on a black 10.7cm brass bowl, paired with a wooden element from the same set.
Symbolism
Many people use the phases of the moon, from new to full and back again, as a way to structure intentions, rest and reflection. Marking those phases on a singing bowl links that cyclical idea with the equally repeated practice of sounding the bowl during meditation.
How to use
- Place the bowl on a flat, stable surface so the sound can carry properly.
- Circle the striker around the rim at a steady pace to build a continuous tone, or tap once for a single note.
- Sound the bowl as part of a regular check-in, such as at the new or full moon.
