An ultrasonic aroma diffuser with a 120 ml tank, 19 cm tall and 9 cm across. It breaks water and a few drops of oil into a cool mist, so a room can be scented without a flame and without smoke, and it runs quietly enough to leave on while working or sleeping. A colour-changing LED glows under the mist, and with water alone the unit works as a small humidifier.
Symbolism
Scenting a space is one of the oldest ways of marking a change of state: incense at the start of a ritual, resin on charcoal, oil warmed over a flame. A diffuser does the same work without fire, which is why many people set one going before they sit down to meditate, practise or write.
How to use
- Fill the tank with water, up to 120 ml, then add three to six drops of essential or fragrance oil and close the lid.
- Plug the USB cable into a USB power supply. The unit switches itself off when the water runs out.
- Never run it with oil alone and never overfill the tank.
- Empty it and wipe the tank dry when changing oil, and rinse it every few uses.
- Ventilate the room and keep it out of reach of children and pets, as some essential oils are not suitable around animals.
