From the Earth Powder line, this 16cm singing bowl carries a Clay Om Buddha design, with a matte, earth-toned finish that sets it apart from polished metal bowls.
Symbolism
The Om symbol represents a sacred sound in Hindu and Buddhist tradition, often described as the vibration underlying the universe, while the seated Buddha figure adds a further layer of meditative symbolism. Together they turn the bowl into a visual reminder of stillness as well as a sound tool.
How to use
- Set the bowl on a flat, stable surface or a supporting cushion.
- Gently rub the included mallet around the rim to build a steady tone, or strike the rim once for a single note.
- Use the sound, and the pause afterwards, as a simple way to settle into meditation.
