Amber has long been called the nectar of the gods for its warm, almost honeyed fragrance. In many traditions it was burned as a sacred temple scent, and it is still associated today with meditation, purification, and emotional and spiritual balancing. Many people keep a stick lit nearby simply to mark a transition from the busyness of the day to a slower pace.
How to use
- Set the stick upright in a stable, heat-resistant holder that can catch falling ash
- Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then blow it out so it smolders
- Place the holder on a heatproof surface away from curtains, papers, and other flammable items
- Keep the room ventilated and never leave burning incense unattended or within reach of children or pets
