Sit with your feet flat on the ground, take this small brass bowl in your hand, and draw the wooden end of the striker slowly around the rim until the tone builds. This piece is marked for the root chakra, located at the base of the spine.
Spiritual meaning
In chakra tradition the root centre is linked to survival, stability, and grounding, associated with the colour red and with stones such as garnet, ruby, onyx, and obsidian. Many people turn to this bowl when they want to feel more settled and physically present in the moment.
How to use
- Hold the bowl steady on an open palm or a flat surface
- Move the wooden end of the striker around the outer rim in slow, even circles
- Strike the side once first for a single clear tone before starting the singing motion
- Use during grounding meditation, breathing practice, or a quiet break in the day
