Symbolism

The mango tree is one of the auspicious trees of India: its leaves are strung over doorways at weddings and festivals, and the tree is traditionally associated with abundance, love and hospitality. Keeping the tools of a practice in one considered container is a small ritual of its own, since the box is the part you touch first, before anything is opened or blended.

How to use

• It takes bottles up to about 65 mm tall and about 25 mm across, which covers most 10 ml essential oil, blend and fragrance oil bottles.
• Fill it with your own selection to build a kit, or to make up a gift set for someone who is starting one.
• Wipe spills straight away, as oils can mark bare wood.
• Dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep the box away from radiators and damp.
