You settle down with a cup of tea and untie the drawstring of a small pouch, letting a set of rune stones spread out in front of you. This set is carved from red aventurine, a warm brick-toned stone with a subtle sparkle from tiny mineral inclusions.
Symbolism
Runes are among the mystical world's true puzzles, with some theories dating their first use to between 2000 BC and 100 AD, used by tribes such as the Goths and other Germanic peoples for writing and guidance alike. That old tradition of drawing symbols for reflection continues informally in how people use rune sets today. Aventurine is traditionally associated with vitality and steady confidence, themes that suit a stone chosen for a set you might reach for often.
How to use
- Pick one stone at random for a short daily reflection, or lay out several for a wider question
