Late in the evening, when the house is quiet, is a common time to sit with a set of runes. You loosen the drawstring, let the stones fall into your hand, and choose one without overthinking it. This set contains 25 black agate stones, 24 carved with a rune symbol and one left blank, stored in a printed cotton pouch about 11 by 9 cm.
Symbolism and tradition
Rune stones remain one of the true mysteries of divination history, with theories pointing to first use among Germanic and Gothic tribes anywhere between 2000 BC and 100 AD.
