When you want a singing bowl set that looks striking as well as sounding good, this black Moon Phase set brings together a brass bowl and a decorated wooden base carved with the phases of the moon. Place it on a shelf or altar between sessions and it works as a display piece too.
Spiritual meaning
Singing bowls are traditionally used in meditation and prayer, their sustained tones offered as a support for stillness and focus. The moon phase motif carved into the base is a symbol many associate with cycles, reflection and the passage of time, a fitting theme for a piece used in regular meditation practice.
How to use
- Rest the bowl in the carved base on a flat, stable surface
- Circle the rim with a wooden striker to build a sustained tone
- Tap the side once for a single clear note to open or close a session
- Wipe the bowl with a soft dry cloth and keep the wooden base away from damp
