Midway through a long afternoon, when your focus starts to drift, a sharp mint scent from the diffuser can mark a short reset. Cornmint essential oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of Mentha arvensis, and its high menthol content makes it noticeably stronger and cooler than peppermint.
Energetic properties
Cornmint is traditionally considered an energising, clarifying scent in aromatherapy lore, often chosen to sharpen focus during study or work. Many people use it sparingly, since its cooling intensity is much stronger than garden mint.
How to use
- Add one or two drops to a diffuser, as the scent is very strong
- Always dilute well in a carrier oil before skin contact, and patch test first
- Do not ingest, and keep out of reach of children and pets
- Ask a doctor before use during pregnancy
