Spiritual meaning
Sandalwood, known as chandana in Sanskrit, is considered highly sacred in Ayurveda. The incense is made from the dried, ground wood of the sandalwood tree, native to India, mixed with other natural ingredients to form each stick. It is traditionally used in meditation and prayer for its calming effect on mind and body.
How to use
- Place the incense stick upright in the brass holder, over a heatproof surface
- Light the tip, let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Never leave burning incense unattended and keep away from children and pets
- Ventilate the room while it burns
