Few objects carry the weight of divination quite like the crystal ball. Its round, clear form has long been associated with scrying, the practice of gazing into a reflective or transparent surface to seek insight. References appear in the Book of Revelation and in the legend of King Arthur, where Merlin is said to have turned to a crystal sphere for prophecy. Scryers of the medieval period treasured their balls as tools passed carefully from teacher to apprentice. Many people today still see the sphere's transparency and perfect symmetry as qualities that support stillness, focus, and a sense of connection beyond the ordinary.
