Switching over a wardrobe for the new season, a couple of drops of White Camphor oil in the diffuser bring a fresh, sharp, clean scent into the room, brisk rather than sweet. Steam-distilled from the wood of Cinnamomum camphora grown in China, this is the white grade, the fraction customarily used in fragrance and blending work.
Energetic properties
Camphor wood yields different fractions depending on how it is distilled, and the white grade is valued in fragrance work for its cleaner, brighter profile compared with other camphor fractions. Many people diffuse it during a seasonal changeover or blend it with eucalyptus or mint-type oils for a crisp accord.
How to use
- Diffuse during a seasonal changeover, alone or blended with eucalyptus or mint oils.
- Dilute in a carrier oil before any skin contact, and patch test a small area first.
- Do not ingest, and keep away from children and pets.
- Check with a doctor before use in pregnancy.
