You untie the printed cotton pouch and tip out this snake jasper set onto a cloth or table, the mottled stone giving each rune a slightly different pattern to look at as you draw or cast them. It is a set you can return to whenever you want a moment set aside for reflection.
Symbolism
Rune stones remain one of the true mysteries of the mystical world, with their precise origins still uncertain. Some accounts place their earliest use between 2000 BC and 100 AD among tribes such as the Goths and other Germanic peoples, long before they took on their later role in divination. This set includes 25 stones: 24 carved with rune symbols and one left blank.
