Before you begin a session of dowsing, a Merkaba star pendulum offers a simple, geometric shape to work with. A small faceted star sits on a fine silver-tone chain with a gemstone bead above it, and the exact stone is assigned at random, so the piece you receive may differ from the photograph.
Symbolism
The Merkaba star is a well-known sacred geometry symbol, while dowsing itself is a practice many trace back thousands of years, traditionally linked with ancient Egyptian and Chinese diviners. Today it is still used for meditation, energy work and simple yes or no questions.
How to use
- Hold the chain loosely between your thumb and forefinger and let the pendulum settle before you begin
- Ask clear yes or no questions, or work with a pendulum chart
- Cleanse it from time to time and store it somewhere safe between sessions
